Important Announcement for the New Year

Dear Clients of Nikolai Massage,

I want to thank all of you, especially my regular clients, for helping to remind me why I do the work I’m doing. You all have helped me build a business and improve my skills as a massage therapist over the years and I am truly grateful. I also wanted to reach out with some new 2020 updates on how to book, new policies, and updates to some long-standing therapy rates that I’ve decided to make to help my business grow.

A new year brings new scheduling software and new safe space policies to Nikolai Massage! In the past, though Vagaro has served decently, a number of problems with my scheduling software have made appointments difficult to coordinate and track over time, as well as making payments more complicated to accept and track for taxes. For this reason I’m making the switch to Square, launched an entirely new website at https://www.nikolaimassage.com, and also launched a new Safe Space Policy (https://www.nikolaimassage.com/safe-space-policy) which I would ask that you all read before your next booking. This policy was developed after a year of educational work on consent and boundary setting and are my thoughts on client/therapist safety, intentional healing and wellness work, and building the business I want for my future and to meet my clients’ expectations. I appreciate you all and am looking forward to our healing work together in the new year.

Part of building my business is learning to evolve my practice, my space, and my policies. Hopefully some of the smaller space improvements have already enhanced your experience- I have more planned in the new year! Accordingly my rates for 2020 have had to increase to meet those new goals and to come closer into alignment with other therapists with my qualifications. Each current rate will increase by $10, and please understand that this decision came only after much careful thought. To make the transition a little easier and as a thank you for my repeat clients, I’d like to offer you $20 off of your first appointment in 2020 using the one-time code “THANKS_2020” which you can apply when booking. Booked appointments through the new system will also require pre-authorization via credit card to protect me against last minute cancellations or policy violations, but those pre-authorizations will not be charged once the massage occurs- you will still be able to pay in your preferred method and the pre-authorization is primarily there for new clients.
